With an air temperature of 23 degrees and track temperature reaching 36 degrees, the dry conditions proved pleasant for Lorenzo has started from the second position and quickly claimed the lead, remaining unchallenged for his 6th first place finish this season.

Teammate Ben Spies started 8th on the grid and was able to claim three spots to finish in 5th as he crossed the checkered flag.
