The EXEDY sponsored YAMAHA FACTORY RACING Team's J. Lorenzo took the win at the 6th round of Moto GP that was held at the Silverstone circuit on June 17th, 2012.
Starting from 4th on the grid, Lorenzo kept his patients as he made his way to the top of the pack by the 11th lap. His pace remained unchallenged through the finish to claim his 3rd straight win and 4th win this season.
Teammate B. Spies who had a spectacular qualifying session had started second in the grid and took the lead for the first initial four laps. Spies had ridden his season's best performance and finished 5th at the end of the race.
