Jorge Lorenzo of the Movistar YAMAHA MotoGP team placed first at the sixth round of the 2016 MotoGP season!

On May 22, 2016, the EXEDY-sponsored Movistar YAMAHA MotoGP team’s Jorge Lorenzo got his third first-place victory at the six round of the 2016 MotoGP, which was held at Italy’s Autodromo del Mugello circuit.

Lorenzo started the race at fifth on the grid, but soon found himself in first after taking the holeshot. He was unable to shake off the competition, and this continued throughout the majority of the race. The last lap was an intense back-and-forth between Lorenzo and the second-place racer, but he maneuvered his way to the top during the last corner and finished in first with a small lead of 0.019 seconds, which gave him his third victory for the season.

His teammate Valentino Rossi pulled out of the race on the ninth lap due to a mechanical issue.
