On April 9, 2017, Maverick Vinales of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team, with support from EXEDY, won his second GP in a row after his win in last week's season opener. His team mate V. Rossi finished his race at the Argentinian Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit in second place.

Vinales, made a great start from the 6th grid, surging up to third place. In lap four he took the top place. Overpowering the competition, he went on to win his second consecutive GP. Team mate Rossi, fought a splendid overtaking battle to move up to 2nd, winning his 350th Grand Prix podium.
