On April 22, EXEDY employee Ai Miura, competing in the 2017 Japanese Formula 3 Championship, finished 5th in round 4 at Suzuka Circuit, taking her first championship points since stepping up to C-class.
Taking over 5th place
She started from 7th grid and was involved in an intense battle with the three cars that started in front of her. In the 4th round she passed her rivals and grabbed 5th position, winning her first championship points in the C-class. Many employees of the EXEDY Group were at the circuit to cheer on Ai Miura.
In round 5 on Sunday, she started from 7th grid and marked a good start, however the gap with the cars in front slowly increased. She was not able to fight for the top places, but thanks to a penalty of the car in 4th place, she finally finished 6th, adding 1 championship point to her total.
